The perfect job search

Okay. So it's not going quite according to plan. I thought I would apply to at least a job a day. Last week I applied to two. One was a posting I found on craigslist for an African-American writer not afraid of legwork. The other was a program assistant here on campus. I haven't heard from the writer job and my supervisor, Dr. Sawicki, made an ominous noise when I told her I was applying for the program assistant. After further discussion I found out that this is a job I should not seek. It's not in line with my "perfect" job anyway so it won't be a loss if I don't accept it. I may not even get the chance to turn it down. The last two I applied for here were appointed to other people without so much as an interview. So the search goes on. It doesn't appear to be easy.
