Whew! 2008 is only nine days old and it's already been a wild and bumpy ride. The weather has been crazy, not just here but all over the world. While it was 70 degrees in Northwest Indiana, it was a blizzard in Iran. It even snowed in the dessert!
The election predictions are evading the pundits. One week it's a stunning upset by the dark horses (no pun intended). Now it's the comeback tour for the old timers. What will it be next week?
It's happening at my job too. People are quitting. New people are replacing them. Makes me think I need to change too. Yet the experts are predicting that a recession is certain. Part of me wants to sell my worldly possession and become a worldly vagabond. The other part of me wants to burrow myself in a modest but comfortable home and watch the storm go by. Only time will tell which part will win. I'm betting on the burrower.
